Hey again, and welcome back to One Fix at a Time.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Today I want to talk about something that might seem small — but quietly runs a lot of our day, whether we realize it or not.
Digital clutter. Now, if you’ve been around my blog — Project: Improve Me — you’ve probably seen the word ClearMind pop up.
It’s the name of my digital decluttering system — a step-by-step way to help you feel less scattered in this part of your life that we don’t always see, but constantly feel.Let’s be honest — most of us are surrounded by it.
The files.
The inboxes.
The passwords we forgot.
The folders we keep making just to avoid dealing with the mess. And while so much of midlife is about managing the stuff in our homes — or helping our parents downsize — this digital mess gets shoved into the background.
Until it starts messing with our mood, our focus, and our ability to find anything when it matters. That’s why I made ClearMind its own path in my Life Map system.
Because we need more than quick tips — we need something that actually fits our real day-to-day lives. Most of us don’t need extreme minimalism.
We just need some breathing room.
A way to stop feeling like we’re falling behind… all the time.I’m not a professional organizer.
I’m not a tech expert.
I’m just a woman in midlife — who spends most of her waking hours on a computer, between work, creative projects, and everything else. And the digital clutter?
It was piling up fast.
So I started building this system — for me.
Something doable.
A way to fix things without starting over.
And now… I’m sharing it with you.So what is ClearMind?
It’s a digital reset path — made for real life.
Built around five simple steps:
Stop. Sort. Streamline. Simplify. Secure. If those sound like buzzwords, I get it.
But here’s what I’ve learned — each one gives you a chance to pause and ask:
“Do I really need to keep this?”
“Does this even help me?”
“Would I be okay if I lost this?”It’s not just about getting rid of things.
It’s about making space — for what matters. So what does that actually look like?
On the blog, I run a 52-week digital declutter challenge.
One small fix each week.Things like cleaning up your desktop.
Backing up your photos.
Or setting up a simple system so you don’t forget your passwords again. Each week comes with either a printable or simple tips,
plus a reflection prompt and a post that feels more like a conversation than a checklist.I’m not here to pressure you.
I’m here to help you move forward — even if it’s just one folder at a time.If this sounds like something you want to try, here’s where to start:
First — grab the ClearMind Quick-Start Guide.
It’s free, and gives you a few fast wins to build momentum. Then — check out the Life Map Welcome Guide.
That one shows you how ClearMind fits into the bigger picture of simplifying your life. You’ll find both guides — and all my free printables — in the Freebie Vault at projectimproveme.com, or linked in the show notes.
I’m always working on new tools.
New ways to make this part of your life feel easier.
Things like printable cheatsheets, flowcharts, digital spa days,
and accountability check-ins made just for women like us.You don’t need to be tech-savvy.
You just need a place to start.Because the truth is — we can’t always control what’s coming at us in midlife.
The paperwork.
The tabs.
The responsibility of managing our own digital stuff —
and sometimes our parents’, or our kids’ too.But we can create something that works better… one fix at a time.
If you’re interested in ClearMind now, I’d love for you to visit the blog and find the next small fix that fits for you.
Take care of your digital space.
Take care of your mind.
And keep going — one fix at a time.Next week, I’ll be introducing one of the other paths in my Life Map system.
So I hope you’ll come back for that.Talk to you later.
Bye!
